Redeem rewards for travel and pay the rest with your card

No. Every booking requires a minimum redemption of 1,000 Rewards total, so a card-only booking isn't possible. During checkout, you choose how many Rewards to apply and pay the rest with your card.

The 1,000-Rewards minimum applies to the whole booking (one checkout), not to each item. If you book a flight, hotel, and car rental together, you redeem 1,000 Rewards once. If you make two separate bookings one after another (two checkouts), you redeem 1,000 Rewards for each.

Yes. The balance not covered by your Rewards can be paid with any credit card. Keep in mind that any travel benefits included with your Mercantile Card program apply only when you pay with your Mercantile Card.

Bookings must be made at least 24 hours in advance. This policy is in place to help avoid last-minute issues that can affect your travel experience. For example:

• A supplier may not confirm your booking in time, which could leave you without a reservation when you arrive, and any Rewards used might not be refunded quickly enough to make another booking.
• Some hotels, especially those without a front desk, may not be able to send check-in instructions in time.

By setting a 24-hour cutoff, we aim to ensure a smoother, more reliable experience for all travelers.

Loyalty status (for example, Hilton Honors, Marriott Bonvoy, Hertz President's Circle) may not always be recognized.

• For flights: During the checkout you can select your Frequent Flyer Program and enter your Frequent Flyer Number. Note that not all programs may be supported.
• For hotel bookings: Switchfly can pass along your loyalty number as a special request. Add your loyalty program name and number in the Special Request field at checkout. Benefit recognition depends on the specific program and airline or hotel policy.
• For car rentals: Switchfly isn't able to add loyalty numbers during booking. You can contact the rental company directly with your reservation confirmation to see if your elite status can be applied.

Since bookings are made through a third party, we recommend providing your loyalty number at the counter and confirming benefits directly with the provider.

Your loyalty status may appear automatically if you provided your loyalty number at checkout, or if you provide your reservation confirmation through your account or app.

Since each hotel, car rental company, and airline operates its own system, we can't guarantee that your reservation will appear in your loyalty account or app automatically.

Travel you book through your online portal is handled by our partner, Switchfly, so the charge appears as "Switchfly" on your statement.
