Who can use this feature
- Owner - can convert any virtual card on the account
- Admin - can convert any virtual card on the account
Before you start
- When your account has transitioned to Celtic Bank and American Express, you will see a Convert to Amex button on your virtual card. You will not be able to convert your Mastercard virtual card to an American Express Virtual Card until you see this button displayed.
- Converting is immediate and can't be undone. The old card number stops working the moment you switch.
- Make your list first. Note everything that card is paying for — subscriptions, suppliers, anything on auto-renew — before you convert, so you can update them quickly afterward.
Step-by-Step guide
- Go to Cards in the left menu.
- Find the virtual card you want to switch.
- Click Convert to Amex.
- Confirm the action.
- Your new virtual card is ready to use.
- Update your card information everywhere the old card was saved: subscriptions, suppliers, and anything on auto-renew.
